In June last year I met a girl called Nicky on what can only be described as a Tinder for mums app (weirdly called Mush, not sure why!) and we instantly bonded. To say we have a lot in common is an understatement, we are bizarrely similar! Our main common interest is sewing. We both have little girls, Nicky’s is a little bit older than mine, and we had lost our sewing mojo after having the babies. We talked one day about making some clothes for the girls to try and get us back into sewing and maybe selling some online, and as they say, the rest is history ☺️<<<<
t up our business, Lunah Bobbin, in October last year and had a stall at our first craft fair in December. We have so far done really well. We are selling a range of clothes suitable for girls and boys up to the age of 2, but with custom orders being taken for larger sizes. We are both enjoying getting our love of sewing back and Nicky has managed to pass on her addiction of fabric buying to me (1m of fabric is never enough according to Nicky😂).
Each week we usually have a baby free day, which is our day together to put the world to rights and sew things to sell as well as make stuff for the girls and more recently for ourselves. We’re hoping the business will grow, but most importantly I’ve gained a good friend and sewing partner in the process. Have a look at our etsy page and let me know what you think of what we’ve made so far ☺️
