After a break from the blog and sewing, I fancied trying something a bit different to get me back into the swing of things. I have a basket that I use for my wool when I’m crocheting. I often look at it and think I could make a nicer lining
So I decided that it’d be good practice to draft a pattern from the original lining and use some yummy fabric I bought in America last year. This fabric I have been keeping for that ‘perfect project’. I have lots of fabric in my stash, that I’ve probably had for years, saving it…but never using it!
Making the pattern was fairly straight forward, using freezer paper made it much easier too!
I’m delighted with how it looks, definitely not drab and boring now!
The scissor design is quite apt for storing all my crafty things!
I think my wool looks much nicer in the transformed basket
