Vintage clothing is becoming more and more popular these days due to the likes of Dita Von Teese, Alexa Chung and Kate Moss. These ladies along with many others have been spotted wearing vintage pieces for some time now and it’s becoming more common to see everyday people in the street with a little bit of vintage.
Whether it’s full blown 1950’s Americana or just a nod to the past with some retro shoes or a bag, vintage clothing is an investment you don’t want to be without. A general rule for vintage is anything produced after the 1920’s up to 20 years before the present date. Most vintage clothing has been previously worn but don’t let that put you off, many items are kept in great condition and some have just been previously owned but never worn. Wearing vintage clothing has so many benefits the most important being no one else will have what you’re wearing. No modern shops will stock the clothes you have and most vintage stores only stock individual items. In financial terms buying vintage is so much cheaper than buying new from designers. Some vintage pieces may be more expensive than others depending on the quality and the era but they were made to last and are often made by hand.
Wearing vintage clothing will give you an individual style, a great selection of different pieces to choose from and will bring a little bit of the past to life. Check out our huge selection of vintage clothing at Brag Vintage and find your own piece of the past
