My crafting seems to be a bit thin on the ground at the moment. What with a to do list as long as my arm and the prospect of starting a new job (all be it only for 2 days a week), my motivation seems to have been overcome by tiredness this week. So please forgive me for the small nature of my project for this weeks handmade Monday!
I am in the process of coming up with some new ideas for selling at Chouxchouxbedoo. One thing I wanted to try was a fabric flower
I’m really pleased with how they have turned out and they are so simple to do. I think the smaller one will become a hair clip and the larger one a brooch. I just need to make more of them now! I followed a tutorial I found on Pinterest (what would we do without Pinterest?!) and I have created a board with lots of other styles I would like to try in the future.

Very lovely flowers. I like the mixture of the spotty design and the red fabric.
Very cute. The options are endless. I hope that things work out for you in the way you hope 🙂
Very pretty! I find that there just aren’t enough hours in the day now! Not sure how I ever coped when I had a “proper” full time job!! xx
Love your flowers! I made some similar ones recently at a craft evening – have you tried using 5 petals? Have a go – they fill out the flower a bit more. The possibilities are endless – I made a brooch and sewed one to a plain hair band. Good luck with your new job x
Very cute indeed. I love the button centres. I agree with Natalie – try five petals, I think the odd number somehow works better. I think you’ll find these are really popular 🙂
Thanks Wendy and Natalie, will definitely do 5 next time, not sure why I didn’t this time as I know the rule of thumb always says use odd numbers!
Very pretty flowers- a few in complimentary colours and clustered together would look good too.
Very pretty, you could do all sorts with these 🙂
what a fun make and really versatile too, you could add these lovelies to so many things! 🙂
Awww they’re really pretty, I love the colours in the smaller one 🙂 Pinterest is brilliant – I’d be lost without it… but I’d probably get a lot more work done!! Simmi x
Very sweet. I agree they could be used to add some colour and interest to lots of things, eg bags, phone covers, ipad cases, hair bands etc.

I haven’t succumbed to Pinterest yet 🙂
There doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. Good luck in your new job, I didn’t do a HM post this week but I’m going for a stroll around 🙂 Love your flowers, they are very pretty.
