I have been absent for the last few weeks for Handmade Monday due to holidays and redecoration/revamp of my kitchen, so I really haven’t had time to do any crafting. However after my last craft fair, I got 3 custom orders which I had to make by this weekend, so with a few days off and kitchen jobs done I finally was able to get my sewing machine out!

A year of blogging
So today is the 1 year anniversary of my first blog post, where has the time gone?! I have been considering over the last few weeks how my life has changed since I started my blog. Without getting too philosophical, my life is all that much better for chatting to new people and getting some lovely feedback on what I make. I think the best thing is that it really does make me continue to sew and try new projects, using every opportunity to write a blog post! I just love how it’s been a record of my life over the last year and hopefully many more years to come! Every House Should Have a Tea Cosy
When I was thinking of what items I would lilke to make and sell, I decided on ‘things to put things in’ therefore trying to stick with bags and cosies. My next makes were therefore tea cosies. I think every house should have a tea cosy! I love making them as they follow the same ‘rules’ as any bag with a lining and are quite quick to make.

This week I am finally able to share with you the gifts I have made for the Love swap organised by Gem’s country life dream, My swap partner was Pen of Rosa Lily. We decided to send approx 5 items to each other and after looking at Pen’s Pinterest boards, I had a good idea on the things I wanted to make.
