I have been absent for the last few weeks for Handmade Monday due to holidays and redecoration/revamp of my kitchen, so I really haven’t had time to do any crafting. However after my last craft fair, I got 3 custom orders which I had to make by this weekend, so with a few days off and kitchen jobs done I finally was able to get my sewing machine out!

So today is the 1 year anniversary of my first blog post, where has the time gone?! I have been considering over the last few weeks how my life has changed since I started my blog. Without getting too philosophical, my life is all that much better for chatting to new people and getting some lovely feedback on what I make. I think the best thing is that it really does make me continue to sew and try new projects, using every opportunity to write a blog post! I just love how it’s been a record of my life over the last year and hopefully many more years to come! But of course it wouldn’t be what it is without all you lovely readers, so I want to thank you all for sticking with me! Read the rest of this entry
2 weeks ago I commented on a post by Tickled Pink, who was wanting some advice on setting up needle felting classes, and wanted to get a feel of what everyone thought of a few ideas. I thought nothing more of it until Ann sent me a message saying I had won a gift from her after winning a giveaway from the same post. I was delighted! Ann gave me the choice of a few colours for the felted flower and I chose a pastel green and lemon combination.
My parcel arrived, with my gift wrapped in a gorgeous flowery paper
I am absolutely delighted with my prize, it is going to look lovely in my sewing room!
Go and check out Ann and Amanda’s shop over at folksy, there are some gorgeous things to buy! I’ve got my eye on a bumble bee to match the flower!
Thank you to everyone who entered the giveaway, it was nice to see so many people taking part! Read the rest of this entry
